Help others this Christmas.

As Christmas approaches, I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all that Christmas isn’t necessarily a happy time for everyone.  This year we personally have seen a number of families suffer great sadness, for a whole variety of reasons.  The loss of a loved one, breakdown of a marriage, injury, or sickness.

For every one of those families, Christmas this year will be, in some way, a reminder of the sadness.  A difficult time that they may not be looking forward too, and even a time that they are dreading.

So, while the world ramps up into the Christmas mayhem of cheery songs, Santa photos, eating too much, drinking too much, and celebrating, spare a thought for those around you that may not be as excited about Christmas.

That doesn’t mean tiptoe around them, or awkwardly not talking about “Christmas”.  It also doesn’t mean trying to “cheer them up”.  When has the term “cheer them up” ever resulted in a good outcome?  It simply means that you need to be mindful of what others are going through, and take some time out of your celebrations to simply catch up with them, have a conversation with them, check in to see how they are going.

A simple conversation can be important.  Look after those around you this Christmas, and perhaps more particularly, look after those that aren’t around you this Christmas.  If you are sitting bored on a header or chaser bin, ring someone.  Talk.  It’s pretty simple advice, but just talk.  Talk about anything. Just talk.

From all of us here at Achieve Ag Solutions, we want to wish everyone a very safe and happy Christmas.  The year of 2017 has been a mixed one, with some amazing client results, some exciting, frustrating and shit weather, and some terribly sad events.  Take the opportunity this Christmas to celebrate the successes, cherish those around you, and remember those that can no longer be with you.

We look forward to catching up with you all in 2018.

Christmas Break

Achieve Ag Solutions will be taking a break over the Christmas period, from December 22 through to January 15.  We will continue to check emails and respond to phone messages and respond to anything urgent, however we will also be aiming to take a well-earned break.
